Correction to: Hepatocyte growth factor administration increases bone soluble phosphate and alters bone chemical structure in diabetic hypertensive rats

چکیده

Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is a novel potential therapy for improving bone health in patients with type II diabetes and hypertension, but its effect on the molecular structure not revealed yet. Here, X-ray absorption near edge (XANES) spectroscopy was used to explore effects elicited by HGF chemical structure. This study assessed local calcium (Ca) phosphorus (P) coordination of diabetic hypertensive rat bones, each without treatment. Results that has significant Ca P chemistry as confirmed presence more soluble phosphates HGT-treated groups. Data indicated treated bones have poorly developed phosphate evidenced drastic drop post-edge shoulder L2, 3-edge compared control bone. Presence P, products resorption, treatment suggests unbalanced resorption formation.

Analysis of Soluble Mesenchymal-Epithelial Transition Factor and Hepatocyte Growth Factor Serum Levels in Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder

Background: Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF) and its receptor, Mesothelial-Epithelial Transition (cMet) factor signaling, play an essential role in controlling synaptogenesis.  Objectives: Because of the vital role of HGF and Met signaling in synaptogenesis and spatial learning function of the brain’s hippocampal region, we aimed to study the HGF and soluble cMet (s-cMet) serum levels in childre...

Repair of segmental bone defects in rabbit tibia promoted by a complex of b-tricalcium phosphate and hepatocyte growth factor

Background Segmental bone defect repair remains a clinical and scientific challenge with increasing interest focused on bone tissue engineering. Clinical studies are ongoing to address application of hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) for treatment of some diseases; however, the use of HGF in bone tissue engineering has not been addressed. This study was performed to evaluate the effect of HGF in a...

A soluble bone morphogenetic protein type IA receptor increases bone mass and bone strength.

Diseases such as osteoporosis are associated with reduced bone mass. Therapies to prevent bone loss exist, but there are few that stimulate bone formation and restore bone mass. Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) are members of the TGFβ superfamily, which act as pleiotropic regulators of skeletal organogenesis and bone homeostasis. Ablation of the BMPR1A receptor in osteoblasts increases bone m...

High levels of soluble syndecan-1 in myeloma-derived bone marrow: modulation of hepatocyte growth factor activity.

Syndecan-1 is a heparan sulfate proteoglycan expressed on the surface of, and actively shed by, myeloma cells. Hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) is a cytokine produced by myeloma cells. Previous studies have demonstrated elevated levels of syndecan-1 and HGF in the serum of patients with myeloma, both of negative prognostic value for the disease. Here we show that the median concentrations of synd...
